How It Works
The 3-inch Direct Drive Hydraulic Cylinders feature a hydraulic cylinder barrel that travels with the carriage. This direct drive design allows the chrome cylinder rod to pivot at the base of the column while the entire cylinder has the ability to move front to back and side to side, taking the front to back flex off of the cylinder rod as the lift ages, and as the UHMW slider prevents wear. Hydraulic fluid is pressurized through the chrome cylinder piston-rod entering the hydraulic cylinder from the bottom. As the hydraulic cylinders fill with fluid, the steel ring that is welded around the outside of the hydraulic cylinder engages the carriage plate internally causing both sides to rise. This operation ultimately lifts the vehicle.
